im baaaaaaaaaaack!!

Dear Friends,

My sincerest apologies for my absence. It has not been by choice, by any means. A month ago, my computer bit the dust. According to my very helpful IT guy at work, the video card is dead which, for a four year old laptop, means one thing: funeral time. And since I can't blog on my company's network, I've basically been helpless when it comes to the blog world. Trust me, if there was a way I could blog while on my lunch, I would have done it a month ago.

ANYWAY...

To be short and sweet, I'll play catch up as best as I can. This will be short because I only have signal outside right now {my home internet isn't cooperating either} and its getting rather chilly.

The past month has been rather uneventful unfortunately. With the exception of a weekend visit from my Colorado boy, I've been up to my old tricks. And by tricks, I mean the following: work, relaxing on the weekends and that's about all. Squeeze in some major internet investigation about my beloved Cam Newton every hour on the hour for the past week, and there you have it...my life!

I wish I could post some pictures, because thankfully they were salvaged, but it is taking FOREVER to upload them. So hopefully, I can figure that out asap. One step at a time, right?



I've been asked how things are going with the Mr. and I'm happy to report that things are just wonderful! God's timing is just perfect and His blessings are well worth the wait, I can tell you that. I'll be boarding a plane the day before Thanksgiving to fly out to Colorado to spend Turkey Day weekend in the cold with Ryan. Its kind of our tradition to spend Thanksgiving together, just the two of us. I'm excited to see some snow and of course, to see him too!! And for those wondering, YES, long distance relationships are HARD. But we've done it before and we'll make do for the time being until he moves here with me.

I appreciate all the emails telling me that you miss me on here. Just goes to show that there are a few people who follow this silly little thing. I've missed you guys like no other!! Keep sharing the love and email me what you want some posts on. Its seems as though the ideas are on backorder as far as this blog is concerned, so I need your help.

Just Humor Me...

I know I've already blogged about my uneventful weekend, but just humor me once more.

It has been anything but uneventful in my opinion.

I've played MAJOR catch up with these guys...

Pulled out the camera to play with it a bit and caught these pictures that capture my dogs' personalites to the T!...

And watched the overrated Crimson Tide drop down from the number 1 spot all the way down to 8 while we gladly gave them that spot and moved up to 7. I stayed on the phone with my mom while the clock played out and we just laughed and laughed. My favorite part was Satan {sorry, I mean Saban} and his walk of shame off the field. The only thing rolling last night was the toilet paper at Toomers Corner!! This ought to make for a VERY entertaining Monday morning meeting tomorrow!!

Saturday...

Its a slow weekend around here. I've spent the day curled up with these two...

We've piled blankets on the sofa and camped out in front of the TV. My favorite candles are burning, so the house smells like Anthropologie {a mix of clove and peach....mmmmmmm}. The sunlight is pouring in the living room. Bravo TV is not disappointing one bit {The Salahi's are nut jobs and its quite obvious that the whole cast is re-enacting the whole debacle...very badly at that}and I'm playing major catch up with the blog world. The only thing that would make this day even better is an iced coffee {a maybe a certain someone :) }.

For your bambinos...

I have so many friends who are in 100% mommy mode. It seems like every time I log in to facebook or blogs, there is another pretty nursery popping up. I love how each nursery is so completely different from the next. So much love is put into each room. While I won't be buying cribs and changing tables any time soon, I do know that when that day does come, I want to create a fabulous room for a bambino. The other day, I stumbled across a site for you mommies out there. Check out ohdeedoh for all kinds of nursery and children's rooms inspiration. This site is connected to Apartment Therapy, so if you're a loyal follower like me, you know its bound to be good.

chilly....

Its getting quite chilly here. I'm not quite used to this. I'm pretty sure this is almost as cold as it ever got in Florida. So, my closet is NOT prepared. Not one bit.

Stuck in the elevator...

Today is delivery day for the new furniture. They were late {to be expected} so I was already a wee bit frustrated. Fast forward to the first trip from the truck to the house. We got STUCK in the elevator. No lie. One hour of pure torture. After several panic attacks, I finally escaped.

This sucker is on its way OUT of here {just waiting to go to its new home a few doors over...now housed in front of the fridge???}...

And here is the NEW living room!! New sofa that I've been drooling over for MONTHS. New coffee table that is sheer perfection and new side tables to match. I'm a big girl now!

There is FINALLY an announcement to be made. Several of you have known this has been in the works for quite some time and MANY of you are reading this super confused. But its official. This girl is off the market!

Because I don't really think the blog world is the place to share every detail, I will spare you. But I can tell you this...God's plan is flawless. That is one thing I've learned in the past 16 months without Ryan. I just go where He leads me. And yes, I'm on cloud nine to finally have EVERYTHING I've ever wanted. Its just to good to be true. Someone pinch me!

I know there are those that are worried, but in the words of Carrie Underwood,
