Ok bloggers, I've been MIA the past few days, but good things are coming to FLASHING LIGHTS thanks to all the suggestions you guys have sent me!! I've really enjoyed this giveaway, so don't be surprised if they become a frequent thing!!

The way I see it, every great blog has its niche. Some fashion blogs are fabulous about highlighting great deals that are dying to be snagged {i.e. the (chloe) conspiracy}. Some design blogs are infamous for the renovations with fun videos along the way {i.e. The Lettered Cottage}. Some blogs are just flat out funny {i.e. ::[olive] asparagus::. Some blogs are just known for their incredibly beautiful pictures {i.e. Fly Through Our Window}. Links are listed below!!


My blog has come a long way. It originally started as an outlet for me to write. Then it turned into a picture diary. Then it morphed into the "I Want These Things" blog. And now, its evolving into something bigger, or at least that's my ultimate goal!!

And to reach my goal, I think I've found my thing that Flashing Lights will be known for. On a weekly basis, I am going to do a giveaway.

Lots of you said you like the decor photos, so I won't disappoint. Last night my houseguest/coworker aka Hines {read below}, came in my house and within 10 seconds asked, "HOW in the world do you have a white sofa???" My answer: BLEACH...lots of it!!






Its been a crazy week with a semi-successful fundraiser. I had an unexpected houseguest last night and I had a good time.

BACK IT UP...

Since our newly contracted venue wouldn't allow us to set up until 9 pm, Hines {the coworker} and I made a trip over to Old Navy to find her an outfit to wear today, since she had to stay the night with me. Guess that's what you get for living an hour away Hines and not coming prepared. Just sayin...

Anyway, I was beyond shocked to walk in and find an Old Navy that I didn't recognize. The WHOLE store was moved and changed. I only had 10 minutes, but I found several things I had to have. DANGIT.

Call me Alexis from Real Housewives, but I would totally rock this with white jeans and perfect heels!!
Yes, I bought both of these skirts. Get over it. Paired with a white tank and sandals and I'm set.
